so my face can look clear..show me step by step what to use to put it on..can i use tissue or those padsHow to put on liquid makeup?
Use brushes! How to put on liquid makeup?
dab a dot of liquid makeup on your forehead a dab on your chin ,nose ,cheeks take your finger tips and massage it in a upward motion covering intire face (make sure the color is not to dark or light for your complection) or you will end up looking like a clown with a mask on!
Use a moisturizer and then once the moisturizer has dried, try putting some of the liquid on your finger tips and rub it on your face. Try to cover all of your face.
A foundation brush is the best option(usually around $30). But you want to use DOWNWARD strokes. This lays the tiny hairs on your face flat for a smoother look. Thin layers are the best.
If you must use sponges, throw them away after each use (they can harbor bacteria). I strongly discourage a sponge though...it absorbs a lot of liquid, so you are essentially throwing that makeup away! Just buy the foundation brush ;-)
use a light moisturizer before you apply anything at all. then your liquid makeup should be the color of the inside of your wrists dap little spots under your eyes then two medium ones on your cheeks forehead, make sure they are very small spots then apply with the brush or sponge (NOT WITH YOUR FINGERTIPS LIKE KAT SAID!!!) lol..till its all shaded in and make sure you get a little on your neck because you want it to look as natural as possible then apply your powder finish of with a subtle peachy blush on those cheekbones and viola!
YES, a makeup brush i AWESOME and although it may seem like a nice chunk of change BUT over time (not even that long) you'll realize its a great investment and it doesn't leave little pieces of lint on your face. If you're really strapped for cash at least buy those makeup sponges that are wedged shaped. and throw them away after using them a few times (but clean them after every use). You have to start with just a little makeup on the brush at a time and LAYER it because the brush is wonderful about FULL coverage. Upward strokes, I always start with my cheeks and work my way around, do your chin, less on your forehead and finally just barely touch up your nose.
Make up will look best on clean moisturised skin, just like a painter uses clean canvas. Clean finger tips are best (no bacteria lerking). Apply a small amount and rub onto finger tips then apply starting at the chin/jawline and apply in an upward movement, continue to upper part of face with more foundation until you have full coverage. Use a powder (optional) to set. Your foundation should blend into your jaw line, if you can see it then its the wrong shade.
