I just switched from a powder-to-cream foundation, which was applied with a little sponge.
I like the coverage I get with liquid, but it's so messy to apply. I hate having to wash my hands thoroughly after I put it on. It also means I can't put it on in the car (when my husband is driving).
Any suggestions for a quicker and easier way to apply it?What's the best way to apply liquid makeup?
Get some of those makeup sponges (the rectangle type that goes from thick to skinny on the side) or one of the regular round ones. I prefer the rectangle kind b/c it's good for putting it on my eyelids %26amp; under my eyes. Or you can buy some of that Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse stuff %26amp; just keep baby wipes in the car so you can have clean hands right after you put on your makeup. It's really soft, smooth, moussey stuff %26amp; it works great. It's like, $9 at Target. Good luck! :)

Physician's formula has a sponge built in their mineral makeup container. It sits at the top of the container and you squeeze the tube into it. I don't know of any easier way. Maybe there are other brands with containers like that too. I never used to think sponges made a difference, but I have noticed that my foundation looks a lot smoother when I use it.
Apply a small amount of primer to your face; I LOVE Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. This will make your face smooth and reduce the appearance of pores.
Get a MAC Cosmetics 187 Brush. It's expensive but soooo worth it. Dab the foundation onto your face, that gently swirl the 187 brush in small circular motions all over your face to get flawless coverage.
To finish off do a quick spritz of MAC Fix+.
you have to buy a sponge applicator so that it goes on smooth and not cakey looking, it give you an even look, i use my finger and blend it in like that and it usually works for me, however i have a hard time finding a color that blends in perfectly with my skin complexion.
buy those little spongy pads that come with power foundation, they are shaped in a triangle, you can buy them at target, do NOT APPLY WITH HANDS!
Get a foundation brush... The Body Shop has a nice one, or MAC has a really great one too. Makes applying and blending qucker, easier and much cleaner!
I like bare minerals! It is not messy. It has great coverage. It is fast and easy to apply.
Apply it lightly with a sponge wedge
you can get them at target and walgreens
Just don't keep the sponge for more than 3 uses.
And if their reusable make sure to disinfect them 1 week.
5gal. bucket %26amp; sponge?!?!
