are there any websites with before/after pictures? Is BareMinerals worth the money? How is it with a lot of redness? Do you have to wear liquid makeup with it?
I've tried lots of mineral makeups. Bare Minerals is definitely one of the best. However, it is pricey and for me, it took a lot more than the instructions said to use to get the coverage I needed. Another ';con'; with BE is that it's a loose mineral foundation. So it is extremely easy to spill and it also makes a mess all over the counter. I've recently switched to Pur Minerals. It comes in a compact and can be applied with a sponge applicator (which comes with it) or a brush. Also, it's much easier to take along with you in your bag for touch ups throughout the day. BE is hard to take because of the loose powder and you must have a brush with you. One GREAT thing about BE is their brushes! They have THE BEST makeup brushes I've ever used!
No, do not wear a liquid foundation with any of the mineral foundations. The mineral foundations are meant to be as your foundation. BE has a finishing powder called Mineral Veil which is your last step. Also, with the mineral foundations it's almost a must that you use a primer. BE and Pur Minerals both have primers. It helps to get a better finish, minimize pores and keeps the foundation on longer.
You can get Pur Minerals at Dillard's and BE is a little harder to find depending where you live.
In conclusion, I think BE is worth the money. Their brushes rock! I just found Pur Minerals suits my needs better because it's less mess and easier to toss in my bag.
You can go to www.qvc.com to see demos and before and afters if they still have them posted. Just put in Bare Escentuals in the search bar. If you do decide to go with BE, QVC has awesome deals.
I hope this helps :)Is BareMinerals worth the money? How is it with a lot of redness? Do you have to wear liquid makeup with it?
I have been a makeup artist for 2 years and I think Bare Minerals is stupid, it is so messy and definitely not worth the money. You are not supposed to use liquid with it, that is the point.
I have clear skin, but a lot of redness in my cheeks and I recently found the best foundation I have ever used. It is a liquid by Laura Mercier, called silk creme foundation. After I bought it I was so stunned by how well it covered my redness so after doing research I found out its actually for women with rosacea, its long wearing, light weight and buildable.
You should wear Lancome cosmetics Color Ideal pressed powder over this for a perfect flawless face.
All i have tosay is bare minerals suck!
They have complained that it makes skin itchy during warm/hot weather.
I suggest trying everyday minerals. There is a free trial where you get to choose 3 foundation containers 1 blush container and 1 blush container. best of all its free but you have to pay shipping and handling which only cost about $3.98 they give you alot and remember that green concealer cancels out redness! I know it sounds weird but it works. So give everyday minerals a try! Hope i helped and good luck :)
