i know of star gazer... but i was thinking of mixing some with my current foundation (ivory) so its not ghostly ... any suggestions?

have you tried nicole's(from girls aloud) her own make up range.Her range is aimed at girls who have pale skin.If you mix one her foundation with yours-ivory is slightly darker than her own make of foundation so you won't look as ghostly.To can buy her makeup rang at jellypongpong.com

Since they are for Costume makeup/Makeup Artists, I'm sure there are purely white foundations.
Illamasqua have shades of foundation ranging from actual white to actual black. You can get it in Debanhams and Selfridges
Try Mary Kay's Porcelain color.
